Dr. Uggen and staff are amazingly thorough and totally up to date with the latest techniques. They prepared me every step of the way for the pre & post op experience. Please be advised that if you are going for a hospital stay, make sure the hospital staff & PT understands and communicates with the Dr.

I was 53 years old when I contacted Dr. Uggen about my right hip. My hip had deteriorated due to arthritis and needed replacing. After doing some research on my own, I discovered Dr. Uggen is one of the few doctors who practice the anterior approach which can reduce recovery time. I could not be happier with the outcome of my surgery. There was no pain and I was walking with assistance just a few hours after surgery. I had my left hip replaced by Dr. Uggen 4 days ago and it is amazing. Still have some soreness from the incision(operation), but very little to no pain in the hip. The caring and skill provided by Dr. Uggen and his staff is outstanding and I thank them all very much. Richard Boyer
